ICCT announces 2008-09 season

ICCT - ICCT returns to the Englert next season with a classic musical and also offers two community theater staples as well as two lesser known works. The first show of the 2008-09 season will be Rodgers and Hammerstein's The King and I, the story of schoolteacher Anna's influence on the King of Siam. This show marks ICCT's return to the Englert stage after a season of shows at their Fairgrounds space. Sarah Plain and Tall, a play based on the novel by Patricia MacLachlan, begins a string of straight plays that includes two community theater staples: Bus Stop by William Inge and The Foreigner by Larry Shue. They end their season with a lesser known musical, The Baker's Wife, by Stephen Schwartz and Joseph Stein, which is based on the French film La Femme du Boulanger by Marcel Pagnol and Jean Giono.
