Mischief at ICCT

ICCT - ICCT's next production opens this weekend. Set in a wayside inn in 19th century England, Man With a Load of Mischief is a fantasy, tale of romance and intrigue. A sudden accident to a coach and a gallant rescue brings to this inn four adventurous people—a lovely Lady, her maid, a dashing Lord and his manservant.

The stage is set for romance, something the Innkeeper and his Wife are eager to have happen so these guests will stay longer. Intrigue follows intrigue but romance will not be denied, although the lovers tend to fall in love with all the wrong (or right) people.

This delightful six-character musical was produced off Broadway in 1966. It received unanimous raves and the critics called the authors, John Clifton and Ben Tarver, the most talented and creative writing team in years.

ICCT’s production features Kathy McDonald and Michelle Wacha as the Lady and her Maid, John Crosheck and Ken Van Egdon as the Lord and his Manservant, and Howard Meadows and Mary Haaf as the Innkeeper and his Wife. David Evans is the director of the production. Performances are April 25 and 26 and May 2 and 3 at 7:30 p.m. and April 27 and May 4 at 2:00 p.m. Go here for more information.
