All in a Day Theatre Festival

City Circle/Dreamwell - Two companies are collaborating on one wild theatre event this June. Dreamwell and City Circle are teaming up to create and present six ten minute plays in 24 hours. The participants will meet Friday evening, June 20th. Six writers choose a genre, a setting, a pool of actors and a director. They hash out some ideas, and then the writer writes the play, which is due by 6 am Saturday morning. The directors and actors rehearse the play from 7 am to 7 pm in Coralville and then head to the United Action for Youth building in downtown Iowa City for the performances. Curtain is 8 pm. There are adjudicators who will present awards to the groups who turn in outstanding work.
