Iowa City - Pitch-black comedy strikes the heart of Iowa City this November with Dreamwell Theatre's play The House of Yes by Wendy MacLeod. Shows Friday and Saturday, November 9, 10, 16 & 17, 7:30PM at the Unitarian Universalist Society, 10 S. Gilbert Street in Iowa City. Tickets: adults $13, students/seniors $10.

Synopsis: For Thanksgiving, the Pascal family's eldest son, Marty, returns to his wealthy Washington DC suburban home just across the grass from the Kennedy's mansion. Much to the surprise of his mother, brother, and beloved twin sister, Jackie-O, he arrives with an unannounced fiancée. An impending hurricane traps the young couple in the house, and over the course of the long night dirty secrets and hidden desires are revealed. As morning closes in, the audience is forced to ask themselves the question of which character will triumph.

Just in time to prepare for our own dysfunctional family Thanksgivings, The House of Yes runs as the second show in Dreamwell Theatre's season of women writers. Directed by Christina Patramanis; featuring AJ Richman (Anthony), Jordan Running (Marty), Alexis Russell (Lesly), Tracy Schoenle (Mrs. Pascal) and Annmarie Steffes (Jackie-O).
