AVENUE Q opens February 22nd at 7:30 pm in Kimmel Theatre. The production then runs February 23rd and March 1st and 2nd at 7:30pm and February 24th and March 3rd at 2:00 pm. This heart-filled comedy brings together people and puppets, mischief-makers and monsters, all living and learning together in a New York City apartment building on Avenue Q. Join recent college grad Princeton, his former child-actor landlord, his internet-addicted neighbor, and the rest of his colorful friends as they cope with the struggles of romance, careers, personal identity, and the ongoing search for one’s purpose in life. Often referred to as the adult-version of Sesame Street, AVENUE Q contains adult humor, profanity, and possible puppet nudity, and is not appropriate for children.
The play is performed by an ensemble cast of Cornell students which includes Nolan Breard, Tessa Cacek, Alex Casillas, Fatima Daknish, Daniel Dempsey, Curtis DeRemer, Millicent Marter, Scott Olinger, Logan Schultz, and Caryn Shebowich. AVENUE Q has been theatrically expressed through the collaborative talents of Resident Costume Designer Jenny Kelchen, senior Theatre major and Hair and Make-up Designer Rachel Tornquist, Set Designer Scott Olinger, sophomore and Assistant Lighting Designer Tanner Stirrat, and Puppetry Artist Emily DeCola.
Tickets can be purchased at the box office by calling in advance at (319) 895-4293, by email firstname.lastname@example.org, or at the door."
