More information: Don Giovanni is considered by some to be the best opera ever written. Composed by Mozart, it was first performed in 1787. Based on legends of Don Juan, a fictional womanizing scoundrel, this 2-act opera slinks between comedy and tragedy.

Conducted by Daniel Kleinknecht, this new production will be sung in Italian with English supertitles and will be staged by William Ferrara. Orchestra Iowa musicians will perform as the opera orchestra.
