Auditions for The Sound of Music

Cedar Falls - Oster Regent Theatre is holding auditions for its upcoming production of The Sound of Music.

full rehearsal schedule starts week of May 5
(may be some vocal rehearsal before that)
Performances June 13, 14, 15 & 20, 21, 22, 2014

Youth Auditions (ages 5-14): Sun, April 6 @ 4pm
(the part of Liesl will audition April 7 & 8)
1. Sing "Do, Re, Mi" from start to
"that will bring us back to Do."
2. Sing "Edelweiss" through "You look happy to meet me"
3. Bring your favorite storybook and read 2-3 minutes
4. some simple movement like marching and
easy dance steps in a group together.

these are character ages, youth auditioning do not have to be exact same age, but should be close:
Gretl - age 5, Marta - age 7, Brigitta - age 9, Kurt - age 11, Louisa - age 13, Friedrich - age 14.
