WCP's "Pitch a Play" Workshop

Waterloo – Have you ever wanted to tell a theatre group what plays they should be doing? Well, here’s your chance. The Waterloo Community Playhouse/Black Hawk Children’s Theatre is inviting community members to come pitch a play to artistic directors, Matthew R. Kerns and Anita Ross and executive director Constance Grimm. This is an additional part of the revised program planning using a more transparent and dynamic process. Come share your voice!

Individuals will have 10 minutes to present a play they would like to see either Waterloo Community Playhouse or Black Hawk Children’s Theatre perform during an upcoming season. Come prepared to sell the show to the senior leadership team.

Dates and times for presentations have been set for Wednesday, September 10 at 4-7pm and Saturday, September 13 at 1-4pm. This opportunity is open to individuals age 10 and up. Call (319) 235-0367, Tuesday-Friday 8am-6pm, to reserve a spot for your presentation.
