Each person auditioning will be required to:
- Perform a 1 - 2 minute memorized monologue (not from the show) that relates to your character of choice.
- Have a song memorized (an accompanist will be provided, bring sheet music for to use.)
- Learn a short dance segment taught by the choreographer (wear clothes you can move in).
Characters:
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: intelligent, well spoken and a bit of a conniver. Sings and dances.
The Monster: very big, clumsy, sort of sings and dances, highly articulate by the end of the show.
Igor: walks with a hump but very mobile. Very expressive face and comic timing a must. Sings and dances.
Inga: very pretty, a bit dim-witted, energetic. Flirtatious. Sings and dances.
Elizabeth: very attractive. Fussy and particular. A worrier. Frederick’s fiancee. Sings and dances.
Frau Blucher: spry, mysterious, very expressive face and comic timing a must. Sings and dances.
Inspector Hans Kemp: very strict and stern. In love with power. Sings and dances.
Dr. Victor Von Frankenstein: one great song and dance. Will double in the ensemble.
Ziggy: the village idiot. Sings and dances. Will double in the ensemble.
The Hermit: blind, a lonely ponderer of life. Sings and dances. Will double in the ensemble.
The Ensemble: will play gravediggers, mad scientists, medical students, villagers, passengers, etc as needed. Sing and dance a lot. Need 7 men and 7 women.
Bring all conflicts with you from April 2 - June 21 (VERY IMPORTANT! Schedules are written around your conflicts).
