Riverside Shakespeare Auditions

Riverside - Riverside Theatre will hold area auditions for the professional company of the 2009 Riverside Theatre Shakespeare Festival on Saturday, December 6, 2008, beginning at 11:00 am. Auditions will be held at the theatre, 213 N. Gilbert Street in Iowa City. To schedule an audition appointment, call the Riverside Theatre box office at (319) 338-7672.

The Riverside Theatre Shakespeare Festival will employ a full time, professional company, both Equity and non-Equity actors. All professional actors will be cast in both shows and will also understudy. Rehearsals begin May 12. The productions play in repertory through July 12, a nine-week contract. Audition requirements: photo/resume, two contrasting monologues (one classical and one contemporary), 3 minutes maximum.
