Our Town Opens March 23rd

City Circle - City Circle's production of Thorton Wilder's Our Town opens Friday, March 23rd in the Coralville Center for the Performing Arts.

Our Town script won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1938. City Circle's production is directed by Chris Okiishi, with a production team including Amber Jannusch, Nicky Beaurivage, Drew Bielinski, Andrew Stewart, and Bryan Clark.

The cast consists of a broad range of performers both veteran and amateur.

"We have such a diversity of experience, both on stage and off," Okiishi says. "Some professional actors (who are leading us in example and craft), some community veterans, some children with more credits than some of the adults, and some people who have always wanted to be on stage, but never had the chance because life took them in another direction. That's what makes community theater great - people from different walks of life coming together to tell a terrific story for their friends and neighbors.

"There is a reason Coralville's motto for many years was 'Our Town'," Okiishi adds. "How fitting that we can present this play in this town in the very first season of this great community arts center!"

Our Town opens March 23rd and runs through April 1st, 7:30pm Friday and Saturday, 2pm Sundays, at the Coralville Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets here.
