ITAC - Woody Guthrie's American Song, a show that tells Woody Guthrie's life story through his songs (reviewed here), will be revived at the Iowa Theatre Artists Company beginning Thursday, March 22nd.
The production features an ensemble of performers (Meg Merckens, Paul Roberts, Randy Sandersfeld, Joy Ward, Ryan Westwood, Mark Wilson, and Karenza Yoder) singing Guthrie's classic folk songs and acting in short scenes. The production is directed by Thomas P. Johnson, with music direction by Mark Wilson, assisted by Randy Sandersfeld.
Woody Guthrie's American Song runs March 22nd through March 25th, at 7:30pm Thursday through Saturday, with 1:30pm shows on Saturday and Sunday, as well as a 6:00pm show on Sunday. Call 319.622.3222 for tickets.
