Actors Needed for MFA Film Projects

CASTING CALL: LOMAX, MFA Short Film

"Emmy® award-winning MFA graduate film student at the University of Iowa is seeking actors for LOMAX, a short dramatic narrative about folklorist Alan Lomax's 1941 journey through the Mississippi Delta to document folk and blues musicians.

Actors Needed for LOMAX:

Lomax, 25 - 35, white, kind eyes and sincere
Son House, 55 - 70, black, eyes have seen it all
Sharecroppers (x6), black, field workers who can stomp and sing

CASTING CALL: The Caretaker's Wake, MFA Short Film

Emmy® award-winning MFA graduate film student at the University of Iowa is seeking actors for THE CARETAKER'S WAKE, the tale of a grief-ridden social worker who cares for a dying woman in secrecy from his wife and children.

Actors Needed for THE CARETAKER'S WAKE:

Robert, age 45 - 50, white, sad and tired eyes
Louise, age 40 - 50, white, gentle and kind
Zeke, age 10 - 15, white, stern eyes and clenched fists
Jesse, age 5 - 9, white, curious eyes
Doris, age 75+, dying and bedridden
