Cedar Falls - Acting Classes for Adults! is being presented starting September 6, 2014. The classes are being taught by professional actor and Theatre UNI professor Richard Glockner at the Oster Regent Theatre 3rd floor Deery Room and at other spaces on Saturdays from September 6 through October 25, 2014. Students may miss a class or two, but the full cost of $100 for the entire 8 week session is due. Classes run 9:30am - 12:30pm and are intended for ages 18 and over. The class will help sharpen acting skills; any level of experience is welcomed. This class will work scene study and monologues with additional acting exercises.
Professor Glockner co-founded and was Assistant Director of The Actor's Space Inc., an off-Broadway company & training program, in New York City. As an actor, he has appeared in such soap operas as "One Life To Live" and "The Doctors", numerous theatrical appearances in New York City, regional theatre, film and commercial work. As a graduate of Temple University he received his Master of Fine Arts in acting and is currently an Associate Professor at UNI, where he directs, acts, and has been teaching acting and directing since 1991.
