Coe's 2014-15 Season

Cedar Rapids - The Coe College 2014-15 theatre season includes themes from today's headlines, as well as comedy and romance. It is a mix of the modern and the classic, including a contemporary play that investigates violence in our schools, an adaptation of a 17th-centure French comedy, and a romantic comedy based on a timeless novel. All three main stage productions will feature all-student casts.

WCP Announces Change of Season

Waterloo -Waterloo Community Playhouse/Black Hawk Children’s Theatre is excited to announce two programming changes approved by the Board of Directors this week. First, the Playhouse will present the premiere of Frost/Nixon by playwright Peter Morgan as a substitute in the planned WCP 2014-15 season. Second, the revised process for planning the upcoming season provides an open invitation for community participation. The 2015-16 WCP/BHCT season will be created utilizing the active involvement of community members during a series of three workshops in August.

ITAC's Fall Shows

Amana - The Iowa Theatre Artists Company (ITAC) of Amana will offer five theatrical productions beginning in August and running through December. Although ITAC will continue as a producing theatre in 2015, the upcoming fall productions will be the final performances on the stage housed in the ITAC Performing Arts Center, located at 4709 220th Trail. The season will open with an original script written by Thomas P. Johnson, The Old Guy, a comedy that debuted in the Fall of 2013 and has been extended into the new season for two weeks. A variety of original and classic theatrical productions will round out the season. There are also three musical guest events that are scheduled in late July and December.

City Circle Adds Xanadu to Its Season

City Circle Acting Company of Coralville announces that it will produce the Iowa City-area premiere of the 2007 musical comedy Xanadu, which is inspired by the 1980s film of the same name. The production will be directed by Christopher Okiishi.
